John Colwell, Managing Director

John has been providing financial and business advisory services to small and mid-sized businesses since 1991, assisting client companies in both high growth and turnaround situations. He served as a Managing Director of Corporate Investment Partners, Inc. a New York based investment banking firm, and with private investment firm Lineberger & Co. He has also served as Vice Chairman of PIA Merchandising Co., Chairman of the Management Committee of River City Plastics, Inc., and Chief Financial Officer of The Marketing Partnership. He established a merchant banking unit at Copenhagen Handelsbank New York that provided over $750MM of equity, mezzanine and senior capital to middle market companies after beginning his career as a corporate banker at Irving Trust Company. John holds an MBA degree from Columbia University and a BA degree from Colgate University.
